Bobby and Claire met in the gorgeous Ecuadorian coastal town of Canoa in May 2014. American Bobby told Scottish Claire that he would marry her right there on that beach, as they watched their first sunset together. It was to be the first of many, as they travelled the world teaching English, living, loving and laughing.
Claire loves Bobby’s calm nature, great sense of humour, accessible nerdiness and how very tall he is. — Bobby loves Claire’s alluring smile, her infectious laughter, and her keen wit.

Last year, they solidified their commitment with a handfasting ceremony on the banks of the river which runs through Bobby’s hometown. Despite the quick planning and informality, the moment was perfect. The sun shone splendidly over the contrasting river and surrounding woodlands. As their hands were wrapped together, they knew nothing but love for each other.

But, the job can’t be finished until there’s been a proper piper and ceilidh! They’ll be marrying at the gorgeous Threave Gardens in Castle Douglas, Scotland, in May 2017. They can’t wait, and are especially excited that Olga and our friend Iain will be there on the day to capture all of the romantic, exciting and otherwise memorable moments.
